Maxwell

Maxwell

Maxwell came into the rescue February 2008 after a road traffic accident - all efforts were made to contact the owner. Maxwell stayed with the rescue for approximately a year and was regularly being walked by volunteers Matt and Debbie at the weekends. Matt and Debbie had a Rottweiler already and didn't know whether they could take on another but they loved Max so much. Matt and Debbie decided Maxwell and his soon to be new brother Reilly would fit into their home. They absolutely adore him and he is a gentle giant. At the end of last year Matt, Debbie, Reilly and Maxwell moved to California to start a new life. Regular contact is made and they now help out at a Rotti rescue in America and enjoy fostering as well as helping other animals as well. Maxwell is one very lucky young man. It never matters how long the dogs are in rescue for, they all have someone out there waiting for them, sometimes, you just have to be patient!

Kelsey

Kelsey

Kelsey, the Husky Cross came into the rescue as a handover - she lived in a one bedroom flat and was in desperate need of a walk to burn off her endless energy. She was adopted by Mr and Mrs Webb in December 08 and had been at the rescue for 9 months. She has a new brother called Dink and an array of doggy friends from the family. Another member of the Webb family adopted another dog, Sam a Collie Cross from TARRS and they all enjoy spending lots of time together.

Bagpuss

Bagpuss

When Bagpuss came in I was immediately in love with him, he gave the most amazing cuddles and really nuzzled his head into your hands and he was a chunky boy to go with it.  He was adopted by David and Teresa in October 09 and had been in the rescue for 3 months.  Bagpuss is a very lucky cat to have been given a chance at a wonderful life with people who love him dearly, we wish Baggy a happy new life.

Angus

Angus

Well, where do I begin with Angus!

He was a handover dog in December 08 - he wasn't given the best life and often strayed on his own and was left for hours on his own in the flat where he was living, his owner finally decided to give him up and he was bought into TARRS.  Angus went on a few trips with the TARRS team, one was to an event held in Coventry called Canine Capers, he didn't win any medals in the shows but he did win a wonderful couples hearts.

Martine, Matt and their daughter Erin adopted Angus in July 09. I don't think any of us realised how their lives would change so much by adopting Angus. Angus suffered severely and still does but not so bad with separation anxiety, they sought help from their vet and myself to find ways to overcome the problems. To be honest I think most people would have given up on Angus, he not only suffered from separation anxiety, he also loved to run off when out in the field and take several hours to catch....my last text message I received from them was "Angus has excelled himself by disappearing for an hour this morning, we did manage to get him back with the aid of a labrador, 3 people and a bowl of food! The moral of the story is don't let him off before work. He is well liked in the area but for all the wrong reasons but he enjoys his popularity".

Angus does absolutely love his best friend Erin as you can see in the photo.  He is one very lucky boy who has a family that love him no matter what he throws at them. They work extremely hard to deal with any problems that may arise and they are hoping next year he will finally settle down.
