Volunteer & Foster

Would you like to help us at TARRS by fundraising for the charity, spending a few hours a week doing admin work, organising events or even fostering our dogs and cats? We are always looking for good people with animal experience who can help us with our very rewarding task.

If you are interested, please e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  including the following information:

  •  your name
  • address
  • phone number
  • if applying to foster - which type of animal
  • why you would like to help and a little bit about yourself.

We can only foster animals to people who live in either Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa or Rugby as our vets are in these areas. Any type of animal on our website can be fostered as long as you have the correct requirements and living conditions for the animals. All foster homes will be homechecked prior to be accepted. All veterinary needs and food bills will be paid by the rescue. Please get in touch for more information.

Unfortunately we can only take on adult voluntary walkers who live in the Stratford-on Avon area due to where the fosterers are and are currently unable to take on Duke of Edinborugh or school/college work experience due to not having any kennels at the moment,  As soon as we are in our kennels, we will advertise for both positions of voluntary work for all ages and work experience placements.

Chickens also need homes too! Most are ex-battery, others have lost some of their feathers due to not being cared for properly. They will need to live in a warm shed so they can grow back their feathers and should be able to go outside in warmer weather later in the year.  We are now taking applications for homes for chickens as we will be getting some early next year.  Forever homes only for the chickens.  Please e-mail your details to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
